I'm running Win2k Pro SP4 on a Dell Optiplex GX150. Well actually it's a computer lab of them at my school. Anyway, this certain one has recently started freezing at the start-up screen, with the progress bar completely filled. It just doesn't move any further, and I have no clue what could be causing it. No drivers have been installed recently (they can't, installing things and most every configurable setting are locked up in an administrator account), and I can't get to a run command to check anything! Any ideas as to a cause/solution? The teacher wants to put in a work order for a tech to come out and re-image it, which will basically do an system restore off an image they keep on the network. This will of course delete all my work. So pleeease...a little help?

Remove the HDD and install it in another workstation to copy your work off, and then re-image the drive. It very likely could be a hardware problem though; a fresh image should help to determine that.
