Win2k Version Number stuck on desktop
This is a discussion about Win2k Version Number stuck on desktop in the Windows Software category; i installed that prog called Customizer 2000 (it was Advertised on 8/11/2001 on the main page) & i was playing with it & everytime i hit apply it said failed to set data for 'DefaultRcvWindow' so then i rebooted & now the version number comes up everytime on the bottom right of the desktop!! how can i make this pro ...
i installed that prog called Customizer 2000 (it was Advertised on 8/11/2001 on the main page) & i was playing with it & everytime i hit apply it said "failed to set data for 'DefaultRcvWindow'" so then i rebooted & now the version number comes up everytime on the bottom right of the desktop!! how can i make this prog work or remove this manually??

tweak ui install-run it,go to general,uncheck "show windows version on desktop"

thanx... that fixed it! anyone know why that prog wasnt working though?
This is not a Win 2000 compatable program. It's for Win 98 and ME
