Win2k with service pack 4 startup hang time......
This is a discussion about Win2k with service pack 4 startup hang time...... in the Windows Software category; now that i have installed service pack 4 it hangs at the blue screen when starting up. the little box pops up loading settings, then disappears with the blue screen left for like a min before my desktop loads up.

Sounds like you have a service that is hanging and making windows wait. Dchjeck your event log.
Right click my cxomputer>manage>event viewer>system
