To my knowledge you can't, but i'm sure there is a way, weather or not it messes up your current install is unknown to me.

Yea, let us know if you get the nerve to give it a try, I am curious to see if it works. In the past, I have gotten around it by creating a batch file that renames a file, then renames a differant file to the original filename, then right protects the file (to get media player 6.4 to work with xp). It sorta worked (the file protection part did not switch it back to seven), but playing movies had mixed results.
