Windows 2000 file

This is a discussion about Windows 2000 file in the Windows Software category; does anyone know where I can find the program apcompat. exe it is on a windows 2000 cd but to cut a long story short I don't have one. it would help thanks pkiff.

Just download the latest compatibility update. This should give you to right click on a short cut, and then seltect between compatibility layers.

Well then how am I suppost to trick the game into thinking that I have an older version of Directx?

OH! then just run QFixApp from the compatibility toolkit. Don't remember the URL though. Somewhere on MSDN you can download it.
