Windows Installer and XP Pro
This is a discussion about Windows Installer and XP Pro in the Windows Software category; I cant get Windows Installer to work properly on my XP pro system. Everytime i try to install a program that uses Windows Installer, IT says could not access Windows Installer Service. This may be caused by running in safe mode, or if Windows Installer is incorrectly installed.
I cant get Windows Installer to work properly on my XP pro system. Everytime i try to install a program that uses Windows Installer, IT says "could not access Windows Installer Service. This may be caused by running in safe mode, or if Windows Installer is incorrectly installed." Now, I'm not in safemode and i tried to get windows installer for XP from microsoft.com and windows update but its not there. Is there any other suggestions on how to fix this???
