Windows Me network problem- Solved
This is a discussion about Windows Me network problem- Solved in the Legacy OS category; If you are experiencing a slow network while running Windows Me then all you have to do is: install the protocol Internet Connection Sharing in WinME. To do this go into Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs > Windows Setup Choose to install Internet Connection Setting.
If you are experiencing a slow network while running Windows Me then all you have to do is:
install the protocol "Internet Connection Sharing" in WinME.
To do this go into Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs > Windows Setup
Choose to install "Internet Connection Setting".
This will speed up ur network browsing DRAMATICALLY!!
PLEASE NOTE that i have posted this message in the wrong forum due to me over reacting and getting a *bit* too excited. Sorry but this will only work on boxes running winme

i dont see any reason why that would increase network performance.. as ICS is for when you have two networkcards one for cable modem one for network, or one modem and one networkcard, in your computer and you want to share your internet to another computer. ( router is much, much, better then this method) and ICS is even supposed to slow down your network. Strange that installing ICS on your system helped you out.
