This is a discussion about Windows media player 10 will not play links off the net?!? in the Windows Software category; For some reason I can't click on videos on the net and have them play in windows media player. It does this for every video file and sites like www.streetfire.net will no longer play the videos either.

I check all the settings and I they look the same. I haven't changed anything in windows media player 10. I even re-downloaded the install file and installed it again.

I also turned off my firewall and nothing changed. Whats going on?

EDIT, fixed.
For some reason under tools -> options -> player, the [ ] connect to the internet check box was unchecked. I never even noticed this option before.
