Windows Media Player 8

This is a discussion about Windows Media Player 8 in the Windows Hardware category; Ok, I just installed build 2446 and my windows media player 8 is all screwed up. Whenever I try to play any sort of media with it I get a BSOD. My question is, is there anyway to reinstall WMP8 without have to reinstall Whistler?.

that don't happen with me.

but, you are using win2k drivers with XP right? cause you should go that, as well as video card drivers for win2k.

I'm using win2k drivers... the problem is only with WMP8. It'll play the file but as soon as i pause it, stop it, or if the video/audio clip is done i get BSOD.

Nope, just don't use WMP8. It's not like you have to use the crappy program. Just use Winamp and Windows Media Player 6.4.
