This is a discussion about Windows Messenger in the Windows Software category; I unistalled Windows Messenger but, I found out that MSN Explorer needs to have it to connect to the internet. I disabled it before I uninstalled it and when I installed it again it was still disabled.

you already did this, my bad
Run Rollback on it
RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\INF\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove
Did you try the wild idea of changing the BLC.Remove to BLC.Add or something? lol

if u altered the sysoc.inf file
then u can reinstal it from the add/remove windows components.

I altered it through Run. I tried what you said, jdulmage, and it did not work. Good idea though.
