Windows Server 2003 - Printer CALs????
Hi All, Having used Netware for the past few years we are planning to upgrade to Windows Server 2003 in the coming weeks. We have a number of HP LaserJets (each with their own JetDirect print server) currently attached to their respective print queues on the Netware server.
Hi All,
Having used Netware for the past few years we are planning to upgrade to Windows Server 2003 in the coming weeks.
We have a number of HP LaserJets (each with their own JetDirect print server) currently attached to their respective print queues on the Netware server. My question is will the setup be similar on Windows Server, ie 'queue to print server' and will we need to buy extra CALs to accommodate them (as with Netware). I know that we could just print directly to the printers using their IP address but we would like to be able to spool and hold print jobs on the new Windows server.
Thanks in advance
** Sorry, just noticed this is posted in the wrong forum (still getting used to the new layout). Can someone move it to Networking (XP).
