This is a discussion about Windows Update in the Customization Tweaking category; Hi, I repaired my XP a while ago (some Via 4-in-one driver killed it) after repairing the windows update broke. . . He keeps finding the SAME critical update. . . after installing (succesfully) and rebooting, it finds the same again.

I repaired my XP a while ago (some Via 4-in-one driver killed it)
after repairing the windows update broke...
He keeps finding the SAME critical update...
after installing (succesfully) and rebooting, it finds the same again..
any suggestions to fix this?

What's the update for? My Intel NICs always show up as needing a driver update, but the driver I'm using from intel is 5.x I think, and the one WinUpd wants me to have is 3.x, so it may just be that WindowsUpdate isn't finding the driver version right.

Mine did that as well. It must be a bug in the windows update site. It has been down for several days now due to DNS problems, but it is back up now
