Windows Vista

Has anyone gotten windows vista ultimate, if so then is it worth the extra money? Even if you don't have windows vista ultimate yet I'd still like your opinion

I bought Ultimate. Seems fine enough, but i still use XP.
Ultimate costs £112, so its not really that expensive.

Like anything it depends on your current situation.

Type of computer you currently have
If your applications work fine on Vista
If you use your computer enough to justify using Vista
If you feel like bothering to learn the quirks of a new OS.
etc, etc.

I've been BETA testing Vista since it's public release and find it interesting, but since there were never proper nVidia SLI drivers I didn't really mess with it too much, nor did the so-called RC1/RC2 drivers from ATi worked on my other machine

This is not to say the fault was with Vista, but why attempt to use the OS for game testing if I can't even install the OEM Graphics Card Drivers ?!?

Get the All Drivers dvd 1.2Gb Dec 06 release from any of several forums online. It has most of the drivers for all windows [9x and up] - however you may have to install original drivers first and you may have to do so by using backward compatibility wizard [search for troubleshooting and choose 'why won't my software work' link - haven't had time to find direct link yet].
Yes it will allow you to Install from an emulation of XP or earlier OS.
