This is a discussion about windows xp in the Everything New Technology category; Hi, I started to load adeptec 4 on my xp and found it was not compatabile. XP disabled the troublesome drivers and aborted the install. My question is, how to get rid of the opening msg. that says they are disabled.

Open Device Manager and delete the SCSI device or adapter from the device list.
