Windows XP boot from c:?

This is a discussion about Windows XP boot from c:? in the Customization Tweaking category; So i have a computer and i want to change the boot device. . . And the machine doesnt start after when you can enter the bios then it says boot from C: and then its black screen. . . I checked from bios and i couldnt change.

So i have a computer and i want to change the boot device...And the machine doesnt start after when you can enter the bios then it says boot from C: and then its black screen... I checked from bios and i couldnt change .. but i found that you can change what device starts first is it that that i should change so that it boots from cd or diskette?

Either one. As long as either the CD or the Floppy drive has a disc/disk in it with an os on it.
