Okay, im new here, but i have an annoying problem.
First off my system specs are as follows:
Windows Xp Pro edition
Service pack 1 installed
256mb ram
1 8.4 gb primary master hd(XP drive)
1 20 gb primary slave hd
Intel 440BX/2 mother board with version 15 flash
Geforce 2 400MX AGP card w/ 64mb vram
2 ethernet cards, and onboard sound
now heres the problem:
No matter what hardware I have in with the machine, my windows locks up and shows a black background with a blue smiley face(ascii charachter) as soon as it detects and starts to install the drivers for the video card, then if i reset and try and load up windows freezes. It starts up in safe mode just fine, but the card isnt actually in my video properties, shows up in device manager just fine.. this is really bothersome since the card has worked fine in other systems, just not THIS one so I know the video card works great...HELP
ps, if anyone can help, drop me an email at justin_a_lindsay@hotmail.com
