Hummmm.
Checks the source of the file for a "www.microsoft.com...." and fails to see it.
Looks at the compression tool used on this file, using RAR, something Microsoft never use for their file distributions.

Use at your own risk people, if it's an official MS file it will be available from the official servers soon.

MS uses selfextracting RAR-files for thier online MSDN-files (ISO's and other)

Not that they released this one, but all pre-SP fixes are availible on thier ftp-site. You have to call them because they are password protected but they do not charge you anything.

I had to use some pre-SP7 fixes for NT4 and I got them rightaway.

Well, whenever I've downloaded ISO's from Microsoft for beta evaluation they have always been in that format, .iso.
But anyway, the warning still stands.
Two very good reasons for not even considering the files detailed in the original post:

1. They are not on a Microsoft server, they could be virus, trojan, spyware, absolutely anything.
2. Hotfixes are password protected on the MS servers for a good reason.
When you call MS support about a hotfix they need to make damn sure it will not effect anything else you have running.
Hotfix's are usually temporary fixes and beta files for known serious issues, simply installing one because 'you can' could have no end of effects on your system.
