Guys,

I need assitances.

Last nite my computer froze so I restarted it.

Upon reboot, I was giving the option to start windows normally, but it didnt work, what happened is XP loading screening loads up and then for a split second the blue screen on death appears and then the computer goes into this looping of restarting, until I turn the computer off.

Samething happened when I attempted to load in command prompt, network boot or safe mode.

I have partioned my harddisk and I use GRUB to boot up Linux or Windows.

My Linux is fine.

I have attempted to load off my boot disk and attempt system recovery but after the long process I get the option to press R for Repair or Enter for installation.

So I press R and it goes through its spill and then I have the Option to exit and restart the computer, then DOS prompt.

The issue is I get prompted in C:\ but my partioned windows drive is F:.

Please guys any assistance would be appreciated.

Thank you

Ok guys,

After a while of press R in Autorecovery I got command prompt.
So i typed chkdsk, then chkdsk /r, then chkdsk /p.

Then once that was complete I typed exit to restart my computer.

Upon restarting my computer, windows now loads up longer and instead of the blue screen of death, I get a blank screen with no options, not even my keyboard is working.

So I restarted my computer and loaded off boot disk again.

This time when I went through the recovery process I got the option to select load option and the only option I was able to select was 1.

So I typed 1 with admin password and I got into my C:\windows directory.

However Im unable to do anything there and not able to see my files.

When I type cd.., cd \ or cd (anything) nothing happens.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Furthermore if my partioned drive is 30GB and I have less than 100MB would that affect my harddisk.

Thank you

If you type dir, do you see any files?
By typing help, you'll see all commands available in recovery console.

I typed dir and I was able to see all my files.
It seems everything was fine expect windows wasnt able to load up.
I attempted to load via safe mode and via command prompt and the computer gets stuck on MUP.sys.
I took out the battery for around 5 mins to reset my BIOS and after restarting it, I couldnt load GRUB to choose LINUX.
I loaded off the boot disc and attempt to install windows again hoping that windows will detect that windows is already installed, it didnt.
At the end I gave up, took my hard disk and put it as a slave in another system copied wat i needed and formatted.
I wish i had a solution to help others, but hopefully someone else would.
