recently, i attempted to reinstall windows xp on my system. i have an old maxtor 10 gb hard drive as my my master disc and a newer western digital 100 gb, 2mb cache drive as my slave along with a toshiba dvd drive and an old hp 4x burner. Since my bios was created in 1999, i had installed ezbios to recognize my wd hard drive. After windows xp had finished copying files and rebooted to continue to the next installation stage. I kept running into an error that stated:
"Windows could not start because of the following ARC firmware boot configuration problem: did not properly generate ARC name for HAL and system paths"
can someone please explain what this is and how I can fix this.
Thanks.
