Windows 2000 supports ACPI differently than 98. Check to see if there is a BIOS update available for your system.

I have the newest bios... (TLG0514B), and on boot-up i can see an acpi-controller which get the irq 9 from the bios.... So I think this mainboard supports ACPI, but (for example) i can't activate it in the power management option in the bios....

If you installed Win2k before you had fully complient ACPI bios or it was shut off in the bios settings then Win2k will not install ACPI support. This is by design as the kernals are different for standard and ACPI modes, just as the kernal's also different for dual-processor mode.
The best way to enable the support now is to reinstall. You an try manually changing it in the Device Manager, but I don't recommend it, if it doesn't work win2k will completely toast itself.

Boot from Windows 2000 CD. When Prompted "Press F6 to boot from another SCSI device..." press F5 Instead. Choose "ACPI Complaint System" from the list.

Posibilities:
1. ACPI will be installed regardless if the bios is newer than 31/12/99.
2. Edit the txtsetup.sif file in i386 folder (by copying folder to c:\ first). Search for ACPIOPTIONS, and read blurb, then set accordingly.
3. goto system devices in "computer" select update driver and select from "known list" Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI). Reboot. Hardware is then redetected. Will screw up system if bios is faulty.
