I have a Courier I-modem external and Windows2K(SP2).... all OK to connect and work flawlessy.... but if I don't turn on the modem during the Windows2K bootstrap the modem isn't recognized and when I turn it on (because I want to use it) I have to go to the "device manager" and do a "scan for new hardware" (it takes only 5 seconds) before I could use the modem in that session.... it's very annoyng....
