Hi, need expert help with the Windows. NET Standard Server RC1. After struggling 24 hours to get into the MS downloadpage betatesting is fun, but it would look much nicer without the notice on the desktop: Evaluation Copy etc.

Having deleted 2 well known registry settings did not help.
Any ideas?

Read my post. Locking the desktop icons brings back the butt-ugly patches of desktop colour underneath the icon titles (when using a wallpaper). XP has finally made removing these annoyances the Windows default and I'm not going to do anything that'll put them back. Now, is there another way of removing the Windows version from the .NET Desktop *without* bringing back those patches of colour?

XP has finally made removing these annoyances the Windows default and I'm not going to do anything that'll put them back. Now, is there another way of removing the Windows version from the .NET Desktop *without* bringing back those patches of colour?
