winnt 4.0 and internet connection sharing

This is a discussion about winnt 4.0 and internet connection sharing in the Windows Networking category; Does Microsoft provide internet connection sharing (ICS) on winnt 4. 0? If not, how can I do it native to winnt 4. 0? I have a feeling I can do it but not sure what components to use? Thanks, Matt.

I'm pretty sure it does. Try looking in the properties of the modem you are using. If your using an external modem not actually installed on the machine but on the network then I don't know...

As far as I was aware, ICS is only native in Win98SE and above. I used to use SyGate for sharing on NT4 and it worked like a charm. You only have to isntall it on the host machine and then you're off and running in no time at all. You can get a 30 day trial version (not sure how many users though) from SyGate

Let us know if you need any help, it's pretty easy though
