We need more info...

Check the IRQs, also if you've got savage4 then don't bother bin it. What type of crash? What happens? With my PC the video is really badly torn, and at 1 FPS. However if I change the colour depth for the entire system, from 16 to 32 bit or vice versa it all becomes normal and apears to generally work! Are you using the newer drivers that come in an exe file and say "for winnt and win2000" with the blue background? Also set the mode to primary only.

Goodluck (you'll need it)

Well, I just purchased the WinTv card, a local shop had them onsale for $24.99
Anyway, what is the difference between the display modes. On primary I seemed to get horrible picture quality so I changed it to Dim Draw an it seems much better. However the quality is still far below my old ATI isa tuner card. The problem there is ATI stopped supporting that card just after win95 launched :\

Thanks

Primary is moving the picture pixel by pixel though the guts of the CPU into the main screen buffer or something.
Overlay is where the data is shifted over the PCI bus and processed by the video card, more efficient and better, yet often doen't work.
DIB draw is often used for compatibiltity, can't really remember how it works, something like using windows graphics libraries, and functions to draw the image..
