Hello everyone,

This is more of an annoyance than a serious problem. I installed W2K Pro on a workstation that is connected to the internet through the Linksys EtherFast router (which is connected via cable modem; works FLAWLESSLY). The connection works, but after first starting up the machine, it keeps telling me that I'm not connected, Work Offline or Try Again.

If I keep forcing Try Again one or two times, it'll get through and everything is fine from then on, but how can I get rid of this bugger altogether? If I want to run some self-starting services like FTP or web on here, I don't want to have to sit around and force the connection everytime I restart.

When you run the Internet Connection Wizard, probably you left checked the option to tell himm to automatically find your proxy. If so, uncheck it and try. Run again Internet Connection Wizard from the Options of Internet Explorer.
