Working Earthsiege2 in WindowsXP Pro

Hi. I read what this site has to say about getting ES2 to work under windowsXP, but it wasn't very helpful. If someone has a more detailed discription of what to do that would be great. Thanks. Oh, I have the Microsoft Compatibility Kit too.
