Writer only been picked up as a 24x

This is a discussion about Writer only been picked up as a 24x in the Windows Software category; i have a liteon 40x writer, but both WinOnCD and nero 5. 5 are trying to conivince me its only a 24, i have all the latest patches for nero, as far a s iknow, and i'm running 3. 8 WinOnCD. Anyone any ideas? or am i missing as patch ?.

could it be that you have a 24x cdr medium in your drive and nero detects it as 24x.
