X-Com Interceptor and XP

This is a discussion about X-Com Interceptor and XP in the Windows Games category; My problem is this: the game itself will run, but whenever I try to go into battle, it crashes to the desktop. Can anyone give me some suggestions? Someone else posted about a problem with Interceptor a while back, but there were no replies, so I thought I might as well ask.

Mcafee and norton both on win XP

using vdsmsound in xp
