Xitel´s MD-Port AN1 and DG2 are billed as the simple and sensible way to get audio - MP3 files, say - out of your computer and into a portable MiniDisc recorder, which Xitel say is a great alternative to other portable digital audio gadgets.
 
Well, for some people, it is. But there´s more to the story, and these things are good for more than just MP3-to-MiniDisc use.
