XP 64bit - can install on SATA yet?

This is a discussion about XP 64bit - can install on SATA yet? in the Windows Hardware category; I haven't tried the 64bit XP for some time now. I wonder, is there a way to install it on a SATA drive yet? Or is it still only IDE? And is there a newer version out? The last one I got had the basic NT/2000 style desktop.

I know VIA was working on a fix/update to their SATA drivers to accomplish a proper install with the F6 option, last I read it wasn't finished yet.

Now as far as nVidia goes, I don't know but a look at THEIR website mentions both PATA and SATA along with RAID as well
