XP messenger incompatible

This is a discussion about XP messenger incompatible in the Windows Software category; Hi, I have just brought a laptop which is preinstalled with XP and built in messenger. However I cannot send files or video mail to users on win98 machines using messenger. Any ideas on a workaround.

Hi,

I have just brought a laptop which is preinstalled with XP and built in messenger. However I cannot send files or video mail to users on win98 machines using messenger.

Any ideas on a workaround. Or is there something i've missed ?
