xp pro dreaded blue screen shutdown!
This is a discussion about xp pro dreaded blue screen shutdown! in the Windows Hardware category; I recently had xp pro go to the blue screen with the following message. . . . . . . stop 0x00000050 page fault in nonpaged area vdtm16. sys I did a recovery install from a bootable cd and never lost any data.
I recently had xp pro go to the blue screen with the following message.......
stop 0x00000050 page fault in nonpaged area
vdtm16.sys
I did a recovery install from a bootable cd and never lost any data.............but it just keeps doing the same thing and shutting down!
Can anyone advize me how to overcome this?............xp pro is installed on a Panasonic Toughbook CF-72.

Seems you have a Trojan. Keep your AVP up to date, and run an anti-spyware program, such as Spybot Search & Destroy(free).
