We need more info to help resolve this issue folks! Such an issuea (just like many windows issues) can be caused by a wide variety of possibilities. I may not be able to know the solution off the top of my head, but with more info the least I can do is research it, or maybe someone on the forum might be able to give an educated guess.
Also, your system specificatons may be very helpful. Aso, a lost of installed programs would be great too!

oops, i meant more DETAILED system specs! I just looked at your posts again. What i meant was detailed information may be helpful!
hmm, that doesn't sound too good! try releieving it of some load!
Its only 200w, and its powering:
1 cdrom
1 hard disk
1 floppy
mobo/cpu fan/3 dimms
front case fan
exhaust fan
fan on chip on mobo (not cpu)
usb web cam
usb mouse
plus all the cards i have in PCI slots (vga, scsi, network, sound)
modem exteranl - powered
writer external - powered
speakers - powered
OK, anyone know of a good case manufacturer... nice big server case would be nice.

More details.... Hope this helps, it seems to always happen when I'm running internet explorer 6.0 and dailed up to my ISP, a lot of the time winamp will also be playing. I have only the asus control panel loaded in the background, BlackICE defender and Daemon Tools 2.80 running. If you want more i'll email you the rest of the specs 1.60mb txt file.

sounds like a hefty load for only 200W. try powering down some devices **shrugg*
Ok, let me (and maybe others) do some research here. If i stumble across anything useful I'll let you know, even though I doubt I'll have much time to do any research since I'm up to my neck with college work right now :-(
kyairan, kill daemon tools. When i tried running that, my comp BSOD'd A LOT. Just a suggestion....also, kill winamp and surf the web without it to see if it crashes. If it doesn't then turn it on. Do this until you can pin point whether or not it has anything to do with your sound drivers or excess memory load. Just out of curiosity, what is your page file set at? With 256 megs of ram, i would put it at about 512-768 page file. Hope this helps..

Well I've turned off 'automatic restart' so when I get the error again i'll write it down or read the sys log. I'll increase the page size and i've unistalled Daemon Tools so we'll see what happens. It crashed the other day without winamp running so it's probably nothing to do with that. Thanks for your help shassouneh.
I'll post any new developements.
