XP Service Pack?
Please forgive me if this is a double-post or if its not in the right forum section. I hope its not the case! Does anybody know when Windows XP Service Pack 1 is gonna be released???? I heard rumors that its almost ready for relese!.

Beta testers have had it for a little while.
If it follows the usual pattern, you're looking at six months after the OS was released, so that would give us a date around end of March.
Oh and be careful of the sites offering 'WinXP Service Pack 1' as a download.
Along with the usual warnings about not knowing what it contains if it didn't come directly from MS, there are a few downloads which are in fact nothing more than a collection of Hotfixes - Hotfixes that should only really be installed if you are having the specific problem they address.
