XP SP1 trouble
Hi I recently followed a guide on the Net to get SP1 installed on to my Windows XP. That works great. I then came across a pre-integrated SP1 build and obtained a serial for it to try it out. It worked, installed etc.
Hi
I recently followed a guide on the Net to get SP1 installed on to my Windows XP. That works great.
I then came across a pre-integrated SP1 build and obtained a serial for it to try it out. It worked, installed etc. However, when trying Windows Update, it says the key is not valid.
Is there any way I can get around the above and have the integrated SP1 build work with Windows Update or am I going to have to do it the long way around each time by up[censored] it to SP1?
Thanks.
Mak

Ah, you're in the UK.
I don't think the above link posted will actually work for you.
Try:
www.pricewatch.co.uk
Then type "Windows XP" into the search box.
Any version of WinXP you purchase now will have SP1 integrated.
