Hey, I have a Yamaha CRW 6416S, and i am trying to get it to Work in Windows 2000. I have tried downloading Drivers for it, but i can't seem to find any. According to the Microsoft HCL, and the NTCompatible.com hardware Compatibility, it IS Possible... But How?
In the Device Manager it says it is there, but it says it is a Yamaha CRW6416S SCSI CD ROM Device. It reads CD's Perfectly Fine, but is not recognised by any CD Burning softare! So Please, does anyone know how i can get it to work, or where exactly i can download the drivers to make it work from?

Thanks for the Quick and Efficient Reply!
I'm currently running an Advansys UltraSCSI Card... I'm not sure of the exact codenumbers etc... But the drivers for that are installed fine, i even have up-to-date ones... But you think i still may need a new one?
Thanks for your help

Okay Thanks a Lot, I shall loook into it.
Another thing to look into is the Firmware revision on the Yamaha.
Both Win2k & WinXP can be very picky about Firmware - a friend of mine had a Yamaha SCSI CDRW that Win2k simply wouldn't see until the firmware had been upgraded to the latest version.
