Access to registry files from DOS?

FrogMaster
Does exist a way or some utility that would allow viewing/editing the W2K hive files in the config subdir? They are in some compressed format, are they? What is the format of the database? I want to get rid of an 'INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE' error without having to reinstall dozens of apps.

<Start><Programs> How to combine listings?

SnapperOne
I knew how to do this in Win98SE, but must be having a senior moment now that I'm using Win2KPro. I want to combine many of the listings found in <Start><Programs> under more general listings, so the program list isn't so long.

IE Pop up Security?

Denver_80203
I've heard that there are security settings in IE that will put a stop to pop-ups. I've been using Pop-up Killer for a while, but it's become flaky. . . . it's over killing (killed this page). I know I can difine more in the aplication, but this may be a better way.

Davros
In XP, how do I change the location of the print spooler folder without mounting a volume to that folder? I think I did it once before, but I can't remember how, and my Epson 980 properties do not include a place to change this.
