What is the best graphics card that is under $150,at least 64mb of RAM, and goes in the PCI slot? Sorry, I put this in the wrong forum. Please see the forum in the hardware section please. .

RAM under XP

Which is better: 256mb of PC133 Ram or 320mb of PC100 Ram? PC 133 is faster but is more of slightly slower better? AMD 1gh Athlon KT133A 40gb HDD Geforce2 MX400

Thumbnail Viewing in 2k

Hey, I'm new to the boards, not new to the site though. Just a quick question if anyone knows the answer. I have the folder My Pictures set on thumbnail view, and it's been that way since I've had this computer.

Hibernation

I have a ME/XP Corp dual-boot. When I hibernate in XP, (Can't in ME, don't care, it sucks anyway) it automaticcaly boots up to it. Is there any way that when XP is hibernated, I can still boot to ME, and not delete the restoration data, so the next time I boot in XP, it comes off of Hibernate?.

IE6: Which file to backup?

Can anyone tell me which is the file that stores my cookie handling rules In IE6you know, the file where I input domains from which to block or allow cookies (found in Win2k under Internet Options>Privacy (tab)>Edit (button))? I would very much like to backup that file (have about 90 cookie blocks).

lower-case script...

when I burned a disk with a lot of. txt files on the work, they of some strange reason came in capital letters, and many '_'. . . very annoying. To save time, how do I make a. bat or like that renames stuff to the same but just changes from capital to lower-case letters? (OS MSXP).

Boot Menu Disappeared?!

Hi I just did a fresh install of XP on drive D. Then I realise that 98SE on C needed cleaning out so I did the same with 98SE. Now my boot menu has disappeared! How do I get it back? Thanks. Mak.

Hey I just recently did a test with sisoft sandra on my ata100 hdd that's on the promise controller and the score was way below what it should have been. . . . the burst read was only 21M/s which is very low.

NTLDR not found after installing SP3

After installing SP3 on Win2k Server with SP2 on reboot I got this message: NTLDR not found. And nothing could be done: neither FIXBOOT nor FIXMBR from recovery console helped. Recovery from diskettes didn't fix the problem too.

How do I change the default "Programs"-Folder?

Hi there, is there any way to change the default path for the Programs-Folder? By default, it's C:\Programs. . . but I would like to change it to D:\Programs. . . On Win9x or WinXP, it was possible to change it using TweakXP (a tweak tool).

Blinking screen.

Hi there, My computer is going nuts i think. . . My screen is blinking green/yellow. For a few days now my background is blinking from normaly white into green/yellow. Sometimes it is very often. What will i do about it.

Hows it going everyone? Tell me this what is the best temp for an athlon xp1800 mines is setting at 50 which i think is to high? Yes my machine is crashing alot playing MOH online is this because of overheating

Is there a way I can make subst commands persistant (they are still active at the next reboot)? I know you can map a network drive to a local folder to get a persistant directory mapped to drive but this solution is far from ideal.

HDD Designations from F onwards...

Hi Guys. I had to reinstall w2k again on one of my PC's recently here is what it was and my problem. There were 2 HDD's on it which both of them dynamic designated c and d (Dough!) and CD's Y and Z which is irrelevant.
