Any tweaks for fast user switching?

Are there any tweaks available to enable fast user switching in 2003 server? I have heard it is possible to use tweakNT by switching to workstation mode, but the disclaimers scare me a little. .

Found a Raid or not to Raid post, but it didn't seem to answer my question. So, here it is. My wife runs a home-based business using a simple 2-PC peer-to-peer LAN via a LinkSys Router and Win2000Pro.

can anyone help me with or point me to a guide on safely deleting unwanted parts and features of the default install like the M$ games? yeh this is a bit of a repost, but im yet to get a reponse- hoping this is a better thread to post in oP

Why are my icons no longer previewing in Explorer?

Hi Gang, I used to be able to preview all my icons in Windows Explorer. However now all I see is the associated application's icon for the. ico extension as the image for each icon in explorer. Here are my registry settings: Quote: @=Icon @=%1 @=Open.

Video Overlay problems in Win2K3

Im running Windows Server 2003 and whenever I try to play movies divx/xvid/whatever all I get is either a grey screen or inverted colors in the movie. The only way Ive found to fix this is to use a media player that allows you to change the overlay from Overlay Mixer to Extended VMR9(DirectX9).

Remove AVI files preview on win 2000

I'd like to remove the preview that appears on the left part of the explorer when I click on avi files. I know it is possible to remove it if I do not use the Web view of my browser, but I want to keep this preview for the pictures.

XP / SERVER 2K3 SERVICES COMPARISON GUIDE?

Anyone got a XP / SERVER 2K3 services comparison guide? I like the fact that 2K3 is SLIMMED down but, I *need* the compatibility of XP. In short, I'd like to uninstall and/or stop services from running in XP that don't run in 2K3.

Changing System Properties

Does anyone know how to change some stuff in the system properties in XP like you do in 98 with OEMINFO. INI and OEMLOGO. BMP??? Iv read lots of places and these files should be on my system c:\windows\system32\ but they are not.

Hi, I'm having trouble getting EAC to run under Win XP. I found the article here called ASPI Fix for Windows, but cant' get the download link to work for the fix. Can anyone help? Thanks. Bill.

Setting the default size of new browser windows

Hello all, Is there some way to permanently set the default size of new IE windows? I am referring to the windows that open whe, for example, you click on a link inside an email message. I would basically like to force IE to open fully maximized 100% of the time, never an exception.

Auto-Sorting IE Favorites

Hello all, Does anyone know of a trick to force Internet Explorer to automatically keep Favorites sorted by name? I know I can right-click on the favorites menu and have it sort there, but I was hoping there is a way to have it happen completely on it's own all the time.

Lost the Compatibility Tab!!!

I have somehow managed to lose the Compatibility Tab (when you see the properties of an application type file you have General, Security, Compatibility, Summary, right?). So now the Compatibility Tab doesn't appear at all.

anoying spam popups using messenger servie

How can I get rid of these anoying spam popups that uses Windows messaging service? I disabled the service, but still get these popups. I am also using Trend Micro's PC-Cillin 2002 with is both an A/V and a firewall, yet that don't seem to help.
