the question is how to stop scandisk on win2003. . always check my hdd. . and when come to drive E: and restart or freeze. . Yes. . i use ESC buton and everthing is ok. . but when check drive E: - ;( I don't need to check my hdd always.

Can't get play a .wmv video.

I received an e-mail with a. wmv video attachment. When I double-click the attachment, the file shows as open and playing, music and voices can be heard, and a still picture appears, There is, however, no movement in the video.

When this last batch of Viruses hit the net, I read that microsoft shut it's Windows Update site down. Is it still down? I've loaded run the latest files from the Microsoft. com website, but if I try going to Windows Update, I get the old that site don't exist message.

Yea, my McAfee 6. 0 program detected a virus but when I try to delete it, it tells me that I don't have access or something so I can't delete. I have only one account on my Windows XP and I have full control over everything.

Windows 2000/Windows 98 dual boot - Not working

I have an installation of windows 2000 on my primary hard disk (NTFS) which i am very happy with but I needed to install windows 98 for some old games which just refused to work with it. I installed win98 to a second hard disk (FAT32) but I cannot get it to boot from the boot menu.

I remember using a program called PS/2 Rate with my old ps/2 mouse in windows 98. I could make my mouse refresh at like 200mhz and it would glide across the screen so freaking smoothly, kinda like the mouse on a macintosh.

ATI rage128pro fade effect in XP's

I have set up windwos xp on a celeron 1,2 with an ati rage128pro ultra GPU. It runs ok but the fade effect in windows xp runs really slow in stages so it takes 2-3 seconds after you press the start button until you see the menu.
