view page data in ie thumbnail, help needed

on my old computer when i went into a folder containing saved web pages i was able to see that data in the thumbnail on my new computer xp pro the thumbnail of saved web pages just displays the IE symbol.

Change cluster size on an existing NTFS partition?

Can you use Windows 2000's 'convert' tool to alter cluster sizes on drives already formatted with NTFS, or will I need a 3rd party program? Thanks

Does anyone know of a way to set the logon window to display in a corner instead of the center of the screen? My PC is on a domain so I dan't have the usual HOME logon screen. What I have is a custom screen behind the 'Press Ctrl-Alt-Del to logon' screen.

can't boot up due to Stop: inaccessible boot device

running w2k and all has been well - no changes to drives in the last 2 months until tonight. The power went out twice tonight and my computer wouldn't reboot - I can't go into safe mode or original configuration - I only get blue screen message: stop: 07b inaccessible_boot_device.

No Sound after reinstall of XP Pro

I had to do a complete re-installation of XP Pro on my Mom's computer. All went well with the install, except now I have no sound. When I go to Sound and Audio device properties all areas of Volume are greyed out so they cannot be adjusted.

Recovery Console from 2000/XP: Will it work on Windows NT 3.51?

Apparently you can use the RC with NT 4. 0, Although it talks of booting off the 2000 installation media. I wonder if you can install it as well. No mention of NT 3. x, although I don't see why it wouldn't work.

Reinstalling Windows 2000?

I am about to reinstall win2000 but I am faced with a problem. I dont really want to format / re partition the drive and if I just reinstall over, my program files directory and winnt directory will still be full of junk that I want to get rid of.

Hi, I'm having some problems with creating a custom default profile when I use the Sysprep 2. 0 utility for XP. I go in and customize a profile just how I want everything, then I log in as the admin and copy the profile to Default user with everyone having rights to it.

Basic Color Themes for WinXP

Anybody know where I can get basic color theme variations for Windows XP besides Blue, Olive, and Silver? I am not interested in getting any WindowsBlind themes with all new icons, objects, etc, and I don't wish to install TGTSoft's ThemeXP, I just want some different color variations of the Luna theme, eg.

finally got a machine up & running yesterday. thing is, now every time i boot up, the pagefile has disappeared. i get the, your paging file is too small, & a temp one has been created error msg every time.

When I first received Windows XP, about 2 1/2 years ago, 256 MB were available for RAM. Now, only 254 MB are available. Does anyone know what could have caused the 2 MB to disappear? Does anyone know how to get it back? Thank you.

Editing the Startup file?

Is there a way to edit your startup in Win 2K. It was easy in Windows 98 with the msconfig utility, but 2K does not seem to have this feature. I have looked all over and cannot find anything that will allow me to edit the programs that launch on startup.

I have just been all over the net for info on this but is unable to find it. Maybe it isn't possible? But I would very much like to get rid of the these security advices that pops up from the SysTray telling me that I don't have the Firewall active, nor the Automatic Update Option.

I bet this can be corrected by just re-installing SP4 + hotfixes if any Also note that this maybe something that is specific with just some apps and in this case Opera. Since I don't use Opera I can't really say.
