ok i am looking at buying a usb 2. 0 drive for my pc to backup onto. I also want to connect it to my laptop which has usb 1. 1! Will the usb 2. 0 device still work on the 1. 1? obviously if it does it will only be at 1.

How to disable dos warning messages under win 2000

Hi I have a problem with a DOS program which launces another dos program. I get a warning telling me that the program has tried to acces the harddisk directly and this is not allowed. If I press close the programs ends, and if I press ignore the program continues without any problems.

So far on over a hundred machines i have verified this. To prove it I purposely infected a computer that only connects to the internet for Live update and pcAnywhere. Infected with the sobig and nachi viruses I ran live update.

I need help with FF7 on WinXP

I've tried everything I could think of, but FF7 refuses to work properly. If i play in Win XP mode, major slowdowns going into/out of battle, and into/out of menu, same thing with Win2k and NT compatibility, if I play in Win 95/98 mode, thats fixed, but my game crashes and I can't use my controller.

Deleting a partition

i formatted my second hdd(drive F:\)and it made a small 7mb partition(drive E:\). I want to delete the E:\ and just get rid of the drive letter. How can i do that without erasing anything that is on drive F:\.

My friend has a computer that she bought from a business. The OS is Windows NT. It was running as a stand alone until she did the critical updates package in response to the last sobig attack. Now her computer won't boot.

Well the NTFS is working great, but the random freezes have returned again, except this time not as frequent. I'm thinking it may be a program or service that doesn't like NTFS, so it freezes evey so often.

i upgraded one of my pcs, a P3, 550mhz from w9x to w2k and soon after, started registering high Vcore voltage of between 2. 04-2. 09 with cpu temp going up to 49dc/111f. adding extra fun to improve cooling only brings it down to 100f.

Software to virus scan a hard drive offline (NTFS)?

Anyone here tried the Diskeeper 8. 0 Pro Preview? I downloaded it today and it is much cooler looking than 7. 0 and the previous versions, plus it has a lot more options to it aswell. All in all looks like its going to be the best DK yet.

i have win xp and can't get power director working! i have tried upgrading direct X to version 9 but that didn't make any difference and i have tried it on my brothers machine with xp and no luck there either! anyone know how or why this is happening? thanks ;(
