win2000 startup screen change?

anyone know how to change the start up screen on win2k, i boot up and get a screen before i get the main desktop screen. It is an old desktop i had?????? thanks RF.

Hello all, I have a few PC setups running Win2K, and have recently installed Linksys WMP11 Wireless PCI cards on them. Normally, prior to the logon screen, it seems Win2K already establishes network connectivity, thus allowing you to re-establish your drive mappings, attach to a domain, etc.

reformatting XP Home machine

Question: If I have to reformat the hard drive, I have the W98SE CD and the owner of the PC has WXPHOME upgrade. I've never upgraded from W98SE to WXP. I've heard horror stories. ANy comments?? Need advice for logon script win98 clients

#1 issue, deltree /Y still prompts when run from a batch. Irritating indeed. This is what I have for the final portion of my logon scripts. :nukemsn if exist c:\program files\msn messenger\msnmsgr.

computer just beeps......

i have just built a new computer with a MSI KT4AV motherboard and when i turn it on it just beeps at me derrr derrr derrr derrr derrr etc! nothing powers up not even the psu ! hmmmmmmmm i know normally the beeps mean somthing but i thought that was when the puter started !! any ideas? thanks

Hi Gang, I did something stupid I was repairing somebody's computer and somehow the show desktop link was on their desktop and not in the quicklaunch tray. Well I deleted it off the desktop before I noticed that it wasn't in the QuickLaunch tray.

bt not connecting

using a bt dial up sometimes when i connect i get a page saying you have not connected correctly click here. When i re create a dial up connection it connects fine, but this happens regularly, can anyone tell me y!! I am using win 2k and ie6 thanks RF.

tvtool 9 sends information to the net??? What address?

I've noticed that TVtool 9 checks the internet to verify the key and username every once in a while. I don't know if it is also sending other information out. I'm a real freak when it comes to not giving out information and blocking connections I didnt want and didnt make.
