Cannot uncompress system files that are in use

I've been experiementing with NTFS disk compression on my XP machine. But I turned off compression on a number of files after I noticed a performance hit. However there remain some system files which I cannot decompress because they are in use.

Dual boot help

I'm a newbie at this dual booting stuff. I have 2 scsi drives. Drive 0 is 98 and 1 XP. I installed 98 on 0 first then XP on 1. I need to hide the drives from eachother. I'm having trouble installing stuff like DirectX because they don't give me a choice of which disk I want to install to.

I recently tried to upgrade my XP Home edition to XP Pro. About half way through the installation locked up. I waited about a 1/2 hour before I tried to get it going again. I finally rebooted and got it started again, only to have it stall again.

Move hard drive to different hardware and save windows?

I was going to put my hard drive in another computer and i was wondering if there is a way to recover windows under the new hardware without having to reinstall windows all over again. I want to boot the new hard drive that has the windows for the other computer.

Where can I find a 32bit compatible ver of Calmira?

After a sucessful couple of weeks testing on my NT 3. 51 setup, I think it's time the shell got replaced (God however did we manage with *that* in the bad ol days ;() I've heard many wonderful things about Calmira (newshell just isn't up to scratch), but unfortunately none of the versions I have found work on NT.

I have about 10 models of the IBM laptop and most require a unique image. How can I get one image to load on all of these laptops and work properly? I'm using the VLK version of WinXP Pro Corp and have Sysprep 2.

Deleting roaming user profile in WinNT 4.0 Server

I am trying to delete the roaming profile of a Windows NT 4. 0 domain user, (i am logged into the server as admin and i just try to manually delete the profile folder of the already deleted user) but i get an error about security or something.

Does anyone have a link where I can download a copy of flash player 6, for a mozilla/netscape/Opera etc. . browser? Flash player 7 doesn't work for my mozilla browser under NT 3. 51, but Flash player 6 does for NS 7.
