Can't login to Windows XP Professional

My computer has automatically created a login (User) as I didn't have to login before. Each time my computer boots it gives me the window login screen. If I click the (User) Icon it goes to login the automatically logs of again back to the same window.

Stop error with Vista T-630 and Win2k SP4 plus recent hotfixes

Recently, after installing some security hotfixes to my windows 2000 build I had a stop error when rebooting. I had applied about 30 of these fixes through the windows update so I cant pinpoint which update is causing the trouble.

Windows XP Home Login Problems

I am having an issue with Windows XP on an HP Pavillion xt155 laptop computer. When the computer is turned on it boots to the Windows User Name login screen, however, the user names are no longer there.

Is there any way or any program that could change windows 2000 pro Product Key without reinstalling operating system? Machine is server so there is no way to shut it down without losing money and time.

Hi, I started to load adeptec 4 on my xp and found it was not compatabile. XP disabled the troublesome drivers and aborted the install. My question is, how to get rid of the opening msg. that says they are disabled.

Were should I start. . Ok. . My computer just restarts out of no were when I minimize programs. . And a few friends said it could be a virus, and I scanned and nothing showed up. . And recently for 2 weeks, my internet keeps kicking me off.

Hey all! I'd first just like to say that I've been lurking in this forum for at least a year or two and I've learned quite a bit from all of you friendly active posters. My problem is that as of about a week ago, my main Windows XP machine takes forever to shut down or log off.

burner problems in windows 2000

Hi guys i was wondering if anyone knew why i cant burn cds in windows 2000. The burner can read cds and i can access them, but when it comes to burn using the prgm and by using windows it says the cd is full or it cannot be read.

Iv been given a copy of xp pro from a friends company, and its fully sealed and never been used, the wrapping its in is not open at all. The only thing with it is that it does not have a product key with it.

About quick launch

Does anyone now how to to this ? I has put my mixer. exe in the quick launch bar (next to time)by putting the exe file in the start-up folder of start/programs. But for the moment mixer starts full up every time I start Windows, I only wanted the icon to be in the quick launch and not to start up.

Restart problem

Hey guys, I seem to have a restarting problem. Whenever I tell the computer to restart the computer the process seems fine. It gets to the Window saying Windows is shutting down. Then the box disappears and that's it.

ERROR: Physical Memory Dumping ---> Win2k

I get this error when I run Win2k SP3/SP4. All of a sudden I get the blue screen of death and it says something like 'Begining dumping of physical memory' or similar. The screen appears just for a second so I cannot read everything.

XP running on a Sony Vaio desktop will not start. Yesterday, soon after installing a driver from SOYO for their memory stick reader, the system abruptly restarted. I should have done system restore then, but i didn't.
