Hi, I am confused. . . . We have a Windows 2000 server on a Domain that I need to logon locally to. Everything that I have read refers to users not being able to logon to the local system, this is a bit different, let me try to explain.

How does Windows mesure the 'size' of the registry (as revealed on the property sheet where you set up your pagefile)? The size currently reported (14mb) is not the same as when I select the files in the system32\config folder (and does it include my ntuser.

Running an XP system with several users. Very inconsistently after a user logs off, the logon screen will go grey and not accept any new user information. The only way to log back on again is to shut down/restart.

I'm running Win2k Pro SP4 on a Dell Optiplex GX150. Well actually it's a computer lab of them at my school. Anyway, this certain one has recently started freezing at the start-up screen, with the progress bar completely filled.

All right, I was running spybot search and destroy and got an error when I was cleaning so I decided to remove the registry entries manually and ended up deleting something I probably shouldn't have.
