Formatting NTFS from DOS

Hi, can someone please tell me a way of formatting my C partition (NTFS) that I have XP Pro on from DOS. I have noticed that using the XP disk doesn't do a thorough job and sometimes leaves bugs behind that caused the format in the first place.

After installing SP2 comp will no longer boot up

I got the problem that hundreds of other people have gotten: after installing SP2, my computer would stall out at the blue windows XP screen right before the login screen comes up. I looked this problem up on Microsoft's website and found it well documented and a solution was provided.

Windows XP SP2 install and configuration problems - HELP

I installed SP2 yesterday on my IBM Thinkpad T40. Although it appeared to install without issues, after giving my system a once over I've noticed the following issues: 1) System initially was missing the start menu and taskbar at the bottom of the screen, this rectified itself after rebooting the system twice.

DirectX and SP2 problems

I was reading the posts that said if DirectX would not download to just reinstall SP2. I went to the microsoft website to do this, but I keep getting an error message from ActiveX that says Your current security settings prohibit running ActiveX controls on this page.

Hi, I installed the cracked software related to Activation Code named Windows_2003_Server_Activation_Crack. zip found on one of the cracking sites , and it did cracked the server but when I restarted the server it keeps me the message you have to activate the server any body can help.

We are trying to implement Windows integrated authentication using NTLM v2. 0 for all HTTP traffic. Every thing is working fine when the system is logged in to the domain. But when the system is not logged into the domain, Firewall gives us a challenge window and asks for the username, password and domain name.

Hi. I bought a notebook, Acer 3201xci with Win XP Pro preinstalled and activated, and it seems it is configured to create a D logical drive which cuts the storage space of drive C in half since it takes up half the space.

ok. I have Windows XP Professional with SP2. My problem is I can't update directx to version 9. 0c Whenever I try to run the websetup or even the dxsetup I get this, The components installed are now ready to use.

Harddrive disappearing

I recently put in a second harddrive into one of my systems as a spare. It is a 60gig Maxtor. The bios finds the drive no problem and windows sees it fine as well. I formated the drive and i now use it to store files.

Hi, i have a graphics card that will only with direct3d if i have the betat of Directx8 and i can't find it. Please help me. THe card is NeoMagic 256Av. A lot of people say that it doesn't work with Direct3d but i know it does because my friend has the same graphics on his laptop and it works fine with direct3d.
