Problem playing video files in Windows XP after SP2 update.

When I am trying to play video files in any video player (Windows Media Player, Quicktime, Realplayer, etc. . ) the video will play for a few seconds and then either go completely green or become all slow and laggy and then go completely green.

Can't log into Windows XP pro

Windows xp pro boots up fine but there are no user accounts displayed on the welcome screen so I can't log in. I had to administator accounts and two user accounts. For some reason both of the users was locked out so I cleared the event viewer log files.

Installation scripts for XP

Is there anyway that you can add scripts to your installation of xp so that when it starts for the first time it intstalls stuff like office, antivirus and other apps? Then if possible can you make a bootable DVD? There are 10 kinds of people those who understand binary and those who dont

Ok, I figured out my computer obviously didnt have a virus from the other post. . So I went ahead to see if its the router, so I just hooked mine up directly to the cable box, and It ran fine, no disconnecting problems or anything.

I am consistently having a problem with SVCHOST. EXT using up extraordinary resources when I am playing a game (all types, ranging from 1st Person Shooters to Strategy games). I can end the process & continue playing normally for a while until it builds back up.

hiding folder options

i have read over the internet a way to hide the folder options under the tool menu in explorer but it only affects the user who implemented it. If i change to another user the folder options doesnt dissappear.

I've looked a bit around the net but I cant seem to find a proper driver which is compatible with Xp. I went to the official BenQ site and downloaded the driver but it didnt work O_o I kept gettin a 'Please check if your scanner is attached' or 'check if the cable is properly attached' check to both of em mates.

I am standing up a closed network with Win2K Adv Server. DNS and WINS are both on the same server and will resolve names. DC can see the network and clients but clients cannot see the network. The error they get on XP is <Domain Name> is not accessible.

ok, i downloaded this reallyy bad viruse(i'm not even shure it is) i sacned the file w/ norton and syed it clear so i run the file then the coputer shut down and when ever i try to log in the explorer dosnt run and after 5 seconed it sayed like welocme it gose logging off.

I understand there is variuos software available to access and view browser history. Where do you locate it under windows explorer or the root directory, in conventional url format. I know under the older os it could be found in the c:\windows dir.

when deleting files from they re appear

i delete file from favorites it goes to recycle bin. i then empty it. when i turn machine back on all the files i deleted come back. whats the trick? thanks ed.
