Dual booting windows xp and windows 98

I have windows xp on drive C(SATA Pimary) and windows 98 on drive H(IDE secondary) (F is used for a firewire hardrive). I have just recently installed Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines on my computer that has Windows XP. It was successfully installed, but it runs too fast for me. Is there anyway to slow down what I assume is a fast frame rate? Any news would be great.

Hi, First time user on this forum. Not too PC literate. Problem with subsequent internet windows. When I select an option on the main Window which fires up a second window, this second window is empty, and the cursor sticks on egg-timer.

Boot Record Help

I am currently migrating hardware between 4 boxes. On a particular computer I am working on I am having issues with the boot record. THe computer has 2 hard disks. One is just a data drive, the other is Windows, programs, etc.

How do I get rid of the dual boot menu?

I just re-installed Win2K on my laptop after formating the HD and now it thinks I have two operating systems on the machine even though there is only one. Is there a way to get rid of this menu so I it will boot faster? Thanks, Chris.

Installing Windows 2000 on a newly Fdisk'ed Hard Drive

Hey all. Getting sick of Windows 98, so i've decided to go for Windows 2000 Professional, (which I will then upgrade to SP4, possibly via Slipstreaming). My PC is not up to XP minimum specs. I have created the Windows 2000 book disks and they worked fine, and I launched the Win 2000 Setup.

Slow for some not for others

I work in a lab enviroment. We have 3 servers online, (Main server, Back up, and a NAS) we have about 20 comupters online. The problem that we are seeing is that some users load quickly and others take about 10-15 minutes to load on the same machine.

Windows installed on Drive F.

I built one of those silly shuttle computers for my cousin. There is no floppy drive and I am connecting the hardrive via SATA. The mouse and keyboard are bluetooth. First problem upon boot is that the mouse and keyboard are bluetooth so I have to get replacements for installing everything.

I recently purchased a laptop computer that has a Chinese language on it. Everything including the Icons are in Chinese. How do I change to English without knowing what the Chinese characters mean? The computer is running Windows XP.

I recently reformated my PC, and the first things I installed were all my anti-virus/worm software, then the drivers for my modem, and finally any other software(games etc. ) However, since then, I have found a text document in C:\ drive (my only hard drive) called ftp32.

Is it normal for the HD to run for over a minute at reaching desktop in Win2k SP

Have Win2k pro on my P3 1ghz laptop with 512 megs ram. I dont have that many programs loading up but after i get to desktop it seems to take a long time before I can start doing things smoothly. .
