Windows NT Workstation in a 2003 Domain

I have a mix of PCs on my local churchs network, including 6 NT 4 workstations, 2 Windows 2000 Pro, and 1 Windows XP Home PC. They all connect to a NT 4. 0 Server which I considering replacing with windows 2003 server.

Help: Want to backup Win ME on new Ext HDD and install XP

I want to install XP on my old P3 933Mhz Dell, but am afraid I'll loose everything in the process. . . so I purchased an 80gig external HDD to backup my entire 40 gig internal HDD onto. QUESTION: How do I make sure that my old Win ME and ALL of my old HDD will transfer unchanged to the new HDD.

Help! CHKDSK runs on every boot and hangs on 0 percent during stage 4

I rebooted my machine today and chkdsk started to run against my D: drive (which is set up as a slave on the primary IDE channel). I'm not sure why it did that as I never requested it. I have a 80 GB hard drive as my C drive and a 200 GB drive as my D drive.

Helllo all. My company just setup SBS server 2003 last week. Everything works okay but emails. Here is what I want to do. 1. Web hosting company keep all emails or transfer to Exchange server. 2. Local users get emails from exchange server.

Need some win2k3 server help

Setting up win2k3 server (datacenter edition) on a laptop I have to host a wireless network. I will also be installing it on my desktop as soon as I get a few things working. Right now, I have active directory running, and my laptop is configured to be a domain controller.

Windows XP Login Problem

I am trying to fix a friends PC running Windows XP Pro. When I click on his name at the Windows XP login screen, it looks like I am going to be logged in, then it says saving data and logs me out, taking me back to the original login screen.

Hi guys. My first time here. Pleased. I'm having problems with a game i'm trying to run that needs directx 9. 0c. The problem is that the installer just skips to the part where it says that everything is installed, but it takes like less than a sec, so i know it hasn't done anything.

Computer hangs at reboot

hi, im a newb to this forum, but i thouht what the hey. as thetopic gives way, i am having problems with my rebooting. every time i go to restart:by pressing CTRL-ALT-DEL/ going to star-shutdown-restart, or anyother way of restarting your comp that u can imagine, it shutsdown, and when it starts to reboot, it hangs ...

Hi, I have a problem with Windows NT 4. 0 SP6. Is there any way to change the interrupts (registry???). On my new Asus P5GD2 installation of NT4 was impossible. (but I could manage it. . . see below if interested) All devices (VGA, VideoCaptureCard, LAN) want to use IRQ 10! This is silly cause IRQ 9,11,12 is free!! ...

Problem installing my XP PRO

I am having the same problem as well, when I try to install my windows XP PRO a blue screen appear and shows IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL I restarted my pc and again it shows PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA….

when i try to run the application exe, nothing happens, and then i open the task manager, try to end the application (which doesn't seem to be running anyways), then it says unable to reach windows 16-bit subsystem, it can be unstable etc.

I have loads of Windows XP questions I'm hoping people can help out with - basically regarding an installation with SP2 that hasn't been run for long, but a few other stuff too. First one being this: I set it to do a disk check and then when I rebooted it, the thing hung.

Ok, i have some problems with my Pc. A few days ago i did a Defrag and during this the computer crashed. After i next rebooted the computer would always just randomly restart at any time or go to the blue screen of death at any time.

I notice there's no coverage on that one on the sticky. Is there a good way to approach getting a good slipstream SP2 disk? I went through the trouble of getting an SP1 slipstream disk, but noticed a couple of the options were non-functional.

Exchange web access

Dumb question here, but I can't figure it out. . . How do you 'turn on' the web access for exchange on Server2003? Have looked at users, and the users have the access switched on. .
